Accessibility at CaseStar
You should be able to practise in conditions that work for you. Our first accessibility pass covers Solve practice: Red Rock, Sea Wolf, the 20-minute Lab, the 30-minute Lab and the full mock.
Timing and reading
Before turning the page, open “Rehearse your approved accommodation”. Choose the standard clock, 25% more time, 50% more time, or no clock. Your chosen conditions stay with that sitting when you reload. Changing the setting here affects your next sitting.
Practice with warnings shows five-minute and one-minute notices. At 0:00 you can finish or choose “Keep going (marked over time)”. Exam conditions keep the clock plain and finish at 0:00. Results with warnings, extra time, no clock or over-time work carry a label and are excluded from cohort lines.
You can enlarge the text and add space between letters, words and lines. Reading settings can also be changed during a sitting. Your browser’s zoom remains available. Settings are stored on this browser; they do not carry to another device.
For candidates with an approved accommodation · rehearse your settings
Match the conditions confirmed in writing for your test. These settings change your CaseStar rehearsal; they do not request or confirm approval.
Exam conditions keep the clock plain and end at 0:00. Results with warnings, extra time, no clock or over-time work are labelled and excluded from cohort lines. Settings are saved on this browser for your next sitting.
Keyboard and screen readers
Controls use keyboard focus indicators. Confirmation dialogs move focus inside, make the background inactive, keep Tab inside and return focus when dismissed. Data tables name their columns and describe saving values once per table. Result bands include words as well as colour. Use the “Skip to content” link to reach the page’s main content.
What we have not verified
This is an initial implementation, not a completed accessibility audit or a claim of conformance. Real-device screen-reader, zoom, keyboard and contrast checks are still needed across the games and their interaction states. Some charts, spatial tasks and embedded scenes may remain difficult to use with assistive technology. Contact us before purchasing if you need help deciding whether a particular task will work for you.
How to ask for accommodation
Ask the recruiting team using the contact on your invitation. Confirm the timing, format, permitted tools and how the approved settings will appear before you start. Share sensitive documents only through the process they specify. You do not need to send medical documents to CaseStar.
Tell us about a barrier
Write to support@casestar.io. If you can, include the page, the task you were trying to complete, your browser and any assistive technology you use. Please leave out medical details and confidential assessment content. Tell us what would help you continue.
