75-minute 5-section aptitude test — same format Bain uses in its European and Middle East offices. Each section has a time limit. You can't pause, but you can skip ahead within a section.
1. Workplace-scenario ranking (SJT): You read a work situation and rank responses from most to least effective. “SJT” is the shorthand used for the rest of the test.
2. Verbal reasoning: Read a short passage, then mark statements as true, false, or can't tell.
3. Numerical reasoning: Pull numbers out of a table or chart and do quick arithmetic.
4. Logical reasoning: Pick the next shape in a pattern.
5. Personality: Rate how much statements sound like you. No right answer.
Scoring: Accuracy (70%) + Speed (30%) = Composite. Bain does not publish a numeric pass threshold; use accuracy and speed as diagnostic signals for where to focus practice.
Timer: Each section has a time limit. You can't pause, but you can skip ahead within a section.
Tip: Answer accurately first, then build speed through repeat practice.
